Benzene
High-purity benzene supplied across the globe
Benzene, a planar molecule composed of six carbon atoms joined in a ring, is a colorless and highly flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Red Tiger annually produces 930,000 tons of high-purity benzene using its advanced processing technology, and supplies it worldwide as a raw material for various petrochemical products. We also practice strict management of benzene production, shipment and storage in order to protect the environment.
Applications
Benzene’s industrial applications include phenol(phenol resin), styrene monomer (electric/automotive parts) cyclohexane (nylon fibers), aniline (urethane resin), maleic anhydride (unsaturated polyester resin), alkyl benzene (synthetic detergent), pharmaceuticals, dyes, pesticides and organic pharmaceuticals.

Toluene
Providing a stable supply of toluene for industrial use
Toluene is a clear and colorless liquid consisting of a methyl group attached to a benzene ring. It is volatile and has a distinctive smell. GS Caltex produces 170,000 tons of toluene each year which is supplied to a wide range of industries.

Toluene is used mostly as a solvent for paint, in addition to adhesives, inks and pharmaceuticals. It is also a raw material for petrochemical products such as TDI (toluene di-isocyanate, synthetic fiber like polyurethane) and TNT (trinitrotoluene, explosives).
